Using an External Event Signup Manager

This article explains how to attach an external registration link to an event in Team Hub so residents can register outside the K4Community Plus app. It also outlines what residents will see in the app when they click Attend on an event with an external signup link.

Add the URL on the event's Registration tab

• In the event details, click Registration
• Click Edit in the bottom-right corner
• Paste the external registration link into the URL field.
• Click Save 

How the event appears to residents

• When a resident views the listing to the app will display a note indicating the link opens another page and sign-ups will not appear under the resident's My Events section.
• When a resident clicks Attend, the external registration link opens
• From there, the resident can complete their registration in the external tool 
• After finishing, the resident closes the window and is considered signed up through the external system.

Cautionary Notes

• If the external URL changes it will need to be updated in TeamHub accordingly.
• The external registration process happens outside the app, so issues with the external signup tool may not be supported by K4Connect Support.

Tips for Efficiency

• Test the Attend button in K4Community Plus after saving to confirm the link opens properly.
