How to create slideshow designs with Content Creator

Team Hub offers Content Creator, a tool that helps you create custom slides to publish to Digital Signage, Direct Broadcast, or the K4Community Plus app.

To create a new slideshow design:

  1. From the Content Library, click on Create a Design. 
  2. Create a name for your design and choose your orientation. Landscape is recommended for publication to digital endpoints like Digital Signage or Direct Broadcast. 
  3. Choose the size of your design. Recommendations are included in the dropdown for size depending on the purpose of the design, whether print or digital content. 
  4. Click Create. 

You can also upload a previously created Microsoft Powerpoint or Microsoft Word document that can be further edited in the Content Creator. To do that, click anywhere in the upload area or drag and drop your file there. 

 

Once you're inside the Creator, use the tools in the right hand menu to customize your slideshow. 

  • Zoom: Use the plus (+) and minus (-) magnifier buttons to zoom in and out. Click the center
    button (four arrows pointing inward) to fit to screen.
  • Undo/Redo: These buttons allow you to undo or redo the most recent actions taken
  • Show Grid: Check or uncheck this box to show or hide the page grid. The grid allows you to more easily align elements on the page.
  • Text: Drops an editable text box onto the canvas
  • Image: Drops an image placeholder onto the canvas. Images can be inserted from previously uploaded images or from your computer. JPEG or PNG images are recommended here. 
  • Shapes: Drops an editable circle or square onto the canvas
  • Line: Drops an editable line onto the canvas
  • Widgets: Choose from a variety of dynamic data widgets that feed live content onto slideshows published to Digital Signage or Direct Broadcast.
  • Properties: Adjust global properties of the slideshow design including duration on
    screen (default is 15 seconds), background color, or background image.  Only JPEG or PNG files are accepted here.




To add additional pages to the slideshow, click the plus (+) icon to the right of the canvas. 

To delete a page of the slideshow, click the Delete Page button in the bottom left corner. 

Navigate between pages of the slideshow using the left and right arrows (< >) in the bottom right corner and re-order pages by clicking Re-order and setting a new location for the current slide. 

 

Preview the slideshow design by clicking Preview in the top right corner. 

Save changes by clicking save. Changes are automatically saved every few minutes, but this button helps ensure your changes are saved. 

Publish your design to Digital Signage/Direct Broadcast, the K4Community Plus app, or print with the Publish button. 

 

The Insert tool allows you to insert a previously-created slide or slides into your current slideshow design.

The Slide Templates tool provides some basic templates that you can use as a starting point for your design. They're organized by topic or event type.
