To post content to the K4Community Plus app to share with residents, you use the Post Manager in Team Hub.
To create a post:
- Click on New Post
- Fill out the necessary fields and configure the Scheduling, Audience, and Push Notification settings
- Click Post
The available fields for a post include:
- Title - This is the name or main subject of the post and is a required field
- Author - If you want you can let the residents know who this information is from
- Description - This is where you can provide some additional detail about the post if you like
- Add file - Here you can add a file either from your computer or from your Content Library.
- To add a file from your computer, click inside the upload area or drag and drop your file there. Only JPEG, PNG, and PDF files are allowed here.
- To add a file from your Content Library, click on choose design from library. You'll be presented with all the slideshow designs that have been created by you and your team.
- Click the file you'd like to share and it will be attached to the post. You can add multiple files if needed.
- Add link - Here you can add a link to a website or video. A thumbnail of the link will appear below. This is what the residents will see in the app when posted.
- You can add a file and a link to the same post if you like.
On the right hand side, you'll see some other fields that need to be filled in. These will configure your post's location in the app, time of publication and removal, audience, and an option to send a push notification to alert residents of the post.
- Category - Choose the category where your post will live. The post will be seen immediately in the What's New feed of the K4Community Plus app, but will be accessible later inside the category and folder you choose here.
- Folders - These folders are editable and will appear in alphabetical order once created. To create a new folder, start typing a folder name and, if it doesn't already exist, you'll see an option to create the folder
- Post start - Choose when you would like to the post to appear in the app. This defaults to immediately but can be changed to any date and time in the future.
- Post end - Choose when you would like the post to be removed from the app. This defaults to never but can be changed to any date and time after the Post start date and time.
- Resident Groups - Choose one or more resident groups with whom you would like to share the post. Only residents assigned to the resident group you choose will be able to see the post in their app.
- Audience - Here you can choose to share the post with Residents, Friends and Family, and/or K4Community Voice.
- This defaults to Resident App, but you may elect to deselect it because it's content or information that is only pertinent to Friends and Family. For example, some paperwork or community guide that is directed toward them.
- If you select Friends and Family App, only the friends and family of residents in the resident group you chose will be able to see the post.
- If you select Voice, the same resident group rules apply and when asked for Notices or Announcements Alexa will read the Title, Author, and Description fields aloud.
- Send Push Notification - Checking this box will send a push notification to any of the apps selected under Audience.
