MatrixCare Integration: Requirements and Implementation Guide

Integrating MatrixCare LPC with FusionOS provides a streamlined way to manage resident data across platforms. Below is an overview of what’s needed to establish this integration and the expected timeline.

Key Benefits

  • Automated Resident Data Sync: Resident census data syncs automatically between MatrixCare and connected systems like K4Community, ensuring real-time updates across connected systems and applications.

  • Streamlined Onboarding: K4Connect provides guided enablement sessions and automated user matching to simplify the process for staff.

  • Ongoing Accuracy and Efficiency: Admissions, discharges, moves as well as demographic data are synced automatically, reducing duplicate manual entry and increasing accuracy of the information.

Requirements

  • A fully executed Business Associate Agreement (BAA).

  • A completed MatrixCare Customer Authorization form returned to K4Connect.

  • Two half-hour enablement calls scheduled with the K4 Integrations team, spaced one to two weeks apart.

  • Clarification on which field to use for Care Setting: Facility Type Code or Level of Care.

  • A list of values used for different care types, including Assisted Care, Independent Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing.

  • A HIPAA administrator or other authorized system administrator will need to be present on the final enablement call due to the presence of PHI.

Implementation

  1. Authorization and Configuration: Upon receipt and approval of the Customer Authorization form, K4Connect configures the integration and syncs census data to the FusionOS dashboard.

  2. User Matching: Users in the K4 system are automatically matched with MatrixCare users. Any unmatched users that require manual reconciliation will be connected by K4.

  3. Data Validation: Between the enablement calls, data is validated by the K4 Integrations team to ensure accuracy in resident statuses, including admissions, discharges, and room changes.

  4. Final Enablement Call: The final session covers how to connect MatrixCare 360 to other platforms like K4Community and completes the onboarding process.

  5. Go-Live and Maintenance: After go-live, all changes are updated automatically* and K4Connect will provide ongoing maintenance services to ensure no gaps in connectivity..

*Note: Changes to email or phone numbers alone do not trigger update messages from MatrixCare LPC. An additional demographic field must be altered to push updates
