Content with Widgets
If the content that's not displaying contains Dynamic Widgets like Monthly Calendar, Dining, etc. the problem could be the internet speeds. Because they're loading the content in real time, Widgets require reasonable download speeds in order to display the content. Minimum acceptable download speed is 25 mbps.
You can check the download speeds of the device by:
- Plug a USB keyboard and mouse into the Digital Signage player
- Press ctrl + Q to quit the RiseVision player. This will display the desktop
- Launch Chrome and go to speedtest.net and run a speed test and note the results
- Close the Chrome window and relaunch the RiseVision player by clicking the green icon with the white circular arrow

Make sure the TV is turned on
-
If you're seeing a black screen the TV may just be turned off
-
-
Make sure the HDMI cable is properly and securely seated and the TV is set to the appropriate HDMI input channel
-
If the TV is showing something like “No signal - HDMI” or “No Signal - [something custom]*” it means the HDMI signal isn’t getting from the Digital Signage player to the TV
-
For easier identification, the HDMI input channel can be changed locally to a custom name like “K4 Digital Sign” or something similar
