This article explains how to mark mail as arrived in the system so residents can ask Alexa whether the mail has arrived and receive the correct response. It also covers how to remove the mail arrival status when needed.
Once the day's mail has arrived
- Navigate to Content.
- Click Mail is Here.
- In the bottom-right corner, hover over the Action menu.
- Click Mail is Here
- Click OK to save the status.
- This adds a timestamp for the current date and time.
- From this point until midnight, residents can ask Alexa: Has the mail arrived? and Alexa will respond: Yes, the mail has arrived.
To Remove a Mail Arrival Time
- Select the mail arrival time you want to removed
- Select Edit > Delete.
- Click OK to confirm removal.
- Alexa will revert to responding: No, the mail has not arrived.
Cautionary Notes
- The mail arrival status applies only for the current day and remains active until midnight.
- Be sure you are deleting the correct mail arrival entry before confirming removal.
- If the status is not set, Alexa will say the mail has not arrived
Tips for Efficiency
- Set the mail arrival status as soon as mail is received to ensure residents get an accurate response.
- Verify the timestamp after saving to confirm the entry was recorded correctly.
