This article explains how to add widgets to a TeamHub Designs and customize their settings to ensure you're showing the desired content. It also covers how to arrange and combine widgets to make beautiful and informative Designs.
Widgets are dynamic components that pull data from TeamHub and update in real time even while published to your Digital Signage or Direct Broadcast screens. Use widgets when you want content like calendars, menus, time, or weather to stay current without needing to update your design every time something changes.
Go to your Design
- Go to Content > Designs in TeamHub.
- Select the design you want to edit or create a new one
Insert a widget
- To insert a widget click Widget in the left hand tool bar
- Select the widget you want to add and it will be dropped onto the canvas
- From there you can customize and edit the widget to ensure you're displaying the the correct content
All widgets have the following Widget Design options available:
- Arrange: Backward, Back, Front, Forward. Use these options to bring your widget further forward on the canvas or push it back behind other elements.
- Size: Choose between Large, Full, and Wide
- Font Size: Choose between Small, Regular, Medium, Large, X-Large
- Show/Hide Elements: You can elect to show or hide elements like Logo, Title, Month, Year, Location, Location Key, and Event Type Key.
- Fill: Choose the fill color of your widget
- Stroke: Choose the color of the widget's stroke or outline

Cautionary Notes
- Readability is important: Smaller fonts may fit more content, but they can be harder to read.
- Check widget overlap: Some widgets may cover or be covered by other elements on the page.
- Source data controls the display: If the calendar or menu data changes in TeamHub, the widget will update automatically.
Tips for Efficiency
- Use filters to show only the calendars, event types, meals, or categories that matter.
- Hide nonessential elements like location abbreviations, logos, or keys when space is limited.
- Pair widgets strategically, such as Clock + Weather or Calendar + Location Key.
- Use opacity to let background design elements show through when appropriate.
- Keep frequently used layouts consistent so future edits are faster and easier.
- Choose the smallest number of widgets needed to communicate the information clearly.
