This article explains how to enable or disable Resident Check-in for an individual resident and how to add away dates so the system does not generate unnecessary alerts while the resident is unavailable.
To Turn RCI On or Off
- Under Users, click Residents.
- Select the resident whose check-in settings you need to update.
- Click Type and locate the Resident Check-in Enabled checkbox
- To disable check-in for the resident uncheck the box.
- To enable check-in for the resident make sure the box is checked.
- Click Save to apply the change.
To Add Away Dates
- Under Wellness click Check-in.
- Click on the resident you want to set away dates for
- In the right-hand panel, click Add away dates.
- Enter the start date and end dates for when the resident will be away.
RCI will turn back on for the resident at 11:59 PM on the end date. Therefore make sure the end date is set to the day prior to the resident's first expected check-in window upon return. For instance, if the resident it returning on Thursday afternoon, set the end date for Thursday so that RCI will be active on Friday morning.
- Enter a Reason for the away period
- Add notes if additional context is needed.
- Click Save
Cautionary Notes
- Set the away end date to the day prior to the resident’s first expected check-in window upon return. The system treats the end date as ending at 11:59 PM on the selected date.
- Review all dates and notes before saving to avoid incorrect alert suppression.
