Communicating with Other Residents

This article explains how to find and communicate with fellow residents in the K4 Community Plus app. It covers the messaging and video call features as well as locating the resident's location and contact information in both the web and mobile versions. 

Web app - Open the Resident Directory 

• In the left-hand navigation menu, click Directory.

Mobile app - Open the Resident Directory

• Tap More > Directory
  • Your profile will be pinned to the top of the Directory for your reference. 

Select a Resident to View their Contact Details

• Scroll through the directory to locate the resident you want to contact.
• Click on the resident's profile to see their information

There are two ways to communicate with residents directly in the K4Community Plus app

• Video Chat - Clicking the video chat icon will launch a video chat similar to FaceTime, Skype, Zoom, etc. where you can see yourself and the other resident and chat by audio and video. 
• Messaging Chat - Clicking the message chat icon will open the chat section of the app where you can send written messages, attach files and photos, and receive messages from the other resident. 

The resident's location and other contact information can be found here as well.

Some or all location and contact information may be hidden from the Directory depending on the resident's privacy preferences

• Location in the community
• Email address
• Phone number(s)
• Birthday
• Biography (if provided)

If your device supports it, clicking on a phone number or email address will open your device's native Phone or Email app to make a call or send an email.
