This article covers how to get community notices or announcements on Alexa.
The commands and information available from Alexa is the same on Echo Show and Echo Dot, but Echo Show allows you to interact with the information by touch screen.
Ask Alexa for Community Notices
- Say "Alexa, what are today's Notices?".
- Alexa will respond with the active notices and, on Echo Show, will display a list of the community notices on the screen.
Open a Notice
- To select a notice say which option you want Alexa to open by saying "Option 2" or "The 2nd option." or similar or, on Echo Show, tap on the notice you want to open.
On Echo Show, Alexa will stop talking once you start interacting with the screen.
Return to the Notice List
- Say "Alexa, back" or, on Echo Show, touch the back button.
- Continue selecting notices as needed.
Exit Community Notices
- When finished, say "Alexa, stop." or "Alexa, home." or, on Echo Show, tap the back button or swipe down from the top of the screen and select Home.
