This article reviews how to get dining information from Alexa including restaurant, menu, and menu item information for a given day.
The commands and information available from Alexa is the same on Echo Show and Echo Dot, but Echo Show allows you to interact with the information by touch screen.
View Dining Locations
- Say, “Alexa, what’s for [meal]?”
- Alexa will display the available dining locations for the selected meal.
- Listen to the list of dining locations or review them on the Alexa device screen.
Select a Dining Location
- Say which option of the dining locations you want to view or, on Echo Show, tap your selection
- Alexa will open the menu for that location.
Review the Menu
- Listen as Alexa reads the available menu items. The item will be listed on screen for the Echo Show
- The screen displays each menu item along with its category, such as Salad or Entrée.
You can also ask Alexa things like, "What's for dinner tomorrow?" or "What's for lunch on Wednesday?" and she'll be able to interpret those questions and give you the menus for those days.
