Grove

Overview

Grove Menus is a full menu program that helps you manage the entire process in the kitchen. Grove offers dietitian-approved menus, point of sale, tray card, price lists, production sheets and special diets all connected on one easy to use platform. The system allows you to build or customize menus to fit your unique needs.

Integration name: Grove for K4Community
Sync time: Every hour

Implementation

To enable Grove for residents to view in K4Community Plus, please contact your K4Connect Client Success Manager to get started.

Staff Experience

Once enabled, the Grove dashboard will remain as the single source of information. This means that K4Community/Team Hub acts as a pass-through of information and respective community staff cannot manage Grove meal information in Team Hub. All management is conducted in the Grove dashboard.

However, staff can and should manage the audience of a grove menu in Team Hub. Meaning, staff can designate whether the menu is accessible to the Resident App (Plus), Friends & Family App, or K4Community Voice (Alexa). To edit audience details, click the edit button in the top right-hand corner of the desired menu and select/deselect your preferences under Audience.

Dining menus can also be shared seamlessly to residents through community signage displays and in-room tv channels using the Dining widgets available in the Content Creator. To learn more about how this works, click here.

Resident Experience

Once enabled, residents will be able to view dining information at various endpoints depending on what has been deployed in your community.

K4Community Plus

In K4Community Plus, residents have a dedicated section of the app for dining staff to share all dining related menus and news. Once a restaurant and menu has been created in Grove and items have been uploaded to the menu, the information and any changes made in the future will automatically be made available in K4Community Plus if the menu is published to Resident App under “Audience” (see note above).

K4Community Voice

By using K4Community Voice, residents have the ability to ask Alexa for Dining information that has been published to ‘Resident Voice’ under Audience (see note under Staff Experience).

For example:

Restaurant: Terrace
Menu: Regular
Items (for dinner): Spaghetti and Meatballs, Caesar Salad, Garlic Bread, Red Wine Blend

Resident prompt: “Alexa, what is for dinner today?”
→ “Here’s what is available at Terrace on Thursday for Dinner. For appetizers, the items are caesar salad and garlic bread. For entrees, the item is Spaghetti and Meatballs. For drinks, the item is Red Wine Blend.
